rabbits without spleens is an international collaboration between composer/performer rae howell (artistic director of the sunwrae ensemble) from melbourne australia, and artist / engineer jon cohrs from portland oregon, (spleenless mastering, jackpot! studios, orange & allred) who currently resides in brooklyn, new york.

the pair met during a residency at the banff centre, in the canadian rockies. as independent artists the pair have complimentary skills in their fields and when combined, they create a blend of original samples & beats, and organic timbres & ambiance performed on acoustic instruments (piano, vibraphone, marimba, rhodes, wurlitzer, glockenspiel, trumpet, mellophone & violin)
